Gardening has begun!

The Gardens have been planted! We are very excited. The whole family is getting in on it. Randy dug out a large section of grass along the "pipe line" on the side of our carport. It took a lot of work, but he did a great job! He then broke up the dirt with a tiller, and worked in some mushroom compost from a mushroom farm. We made three rows of dirt beds. In the garden above, we removed our fall leaf mulch, and threw down some of our own compost and tilled it in. Our annual flowers are already looking great! The front part of the garden will be for cold weather veggies and some tomatos. The veggies we are trying are onion, broccoli, and celery. Spinach will be in the fall. In the garden below we are planting: carrots, beans, tomatos, green peppers, red peppers, jalapeno peppers, 1 squash, 1 pumpkin and 1 cucumber - since these are quit invasive. We'll keep you updated!
