Birthday Time 2!

Next up is Ana's Birthday.  This year Ana turned 6 years old and it was her turn to have the big party.  Last year was our first big party and we did a combined John Deere party for Ana and Lukas.  But the very next day Ana asked if she could have a FROZEN party for her next party.  And so started the planning, a year in advance.  At the time FROZEN items were still hard to find so I started buying items here and there.  Then, the market exploded, so no need to worry anymore!  Ana invited her class and other friends mostly from school.  Boys and girls were invited to dress up as their favorite FROZEN character.  

The party was held at our school's cafeteria and there was lots of space and tables.  We sectioned off a portion with long tables making an "ice rink."  Borrowing the school's scooters, the kids could skate and slide in the rink.

On the tables the guests could make snowflakes and decorate them with ice painting and glitter glue.  For ice painting we used Epsom salt and colored water.  It creates a cool crystal effect.

For games we played "pin-the-lemonade on Olaf", and "Do you want to build a snowman" with toilet paper rolls.  It was quit funny!

Three dads and an older sibling volunteered to be made into "snowmen." 

 The cake was an "Elsa cake" using one of Ana's Elsa dolls.  Now, you may be wondering why it was not an "Anna cake."  Well, so are we.   It was all supposed to be Anna-themed per Ana's request and then 2 weeks before the party she changed her mind and wanted all things Elsa.  Thankfully it was not the day before the party!
