On Saturday we celebrated Mommy's birthday. Our original plans of going downtown for a food tour were scratched when Ana came down with a fever that morning. So we stayed home and made cupcakes instead. They were made extra special by creating a giant sized cupcake and filling them with a cream cheese and cinnamon filling. But before we got to baking we experienced an earthquake! Not a common experience around here. The epicenter was in Kentucky and the magnitude was only a 4.3, but we felt it here! I held onto the counter and called for Randy :) I was not sure what was happening to our house...since earthquake was not first on my mind. The dishes kept rattling after the shaking was done and we began to suspect an earthquake but still went outside looking for a big truck or some construction going on near our house. Earthquakes do occur in the Kentucky area quite regularly but under a 2.5 on the Richter scale and so are not felt by most folks. Our neighbors said that about every 10 years Knoxville will get one of this magnitude. I guess it was time, we've been in this house 9 years now!
